Textile Project

I really want to work with textiles in my next project. I love ethnic textiles for their boundless eclectic patterns and vibrant colors. Mexican textiles and African prints are the most intriguing to me. I've been brainstorming with using a scanner to capture the texture and color schemes of some piece of fabric I own.

MDF: Wood Cut #2

I love all things horror related, Frank and the bride were both carved somehow I never printed the bride. Maybe the bride will be a future project. Anyway this was an experiment on some MDF , which was fantastic to work with because there's no grain to fight against while carving. I printed on  rice paper.

Wood Cut

Wood Cut :Each student was assigned a 4x4 block of pine to carve with a corresponding image. The conclusion to the project was to combine the blocks to create a larger image.
